Studying digital platforms? Tell us what data and tools you need

At AIO, we’re developing new tools, training, and infrastructure to help researchers better understand digital platforms and online environments. But we need your input to make sure we’re building what really matters.

We’re running a short survey to learn more about how researchers, analysts, and professionals are working with digital platforms—and what data, tools, or support they need to do it better.

The survey should only take about 5–8 minutes. Whether you’re already deep into platform research, just starting out, or hoping to get more involved in the future, we want to hear from you. Your responses will help us improve the design of national research infrastructure—making it more useful, inclusive, and accessible for everyone.

What’s this survey about?

The aim is to understand the needs and priorities of researchers and data users across sectors—academia, government, civil society, and industry—who are working with (or want to work with) digital platforms and data.

We’re especially keen to hear about:

  • The platforms and datasets you work with (or want access to)

  • The research tools or training that would support your work

  • The challenges you face in collecting or analysing digital data

We’re inviting participants who:

✔ Are involved in research or data-informed work in education, government, community, or commercial sectors in Australia
✔ Use, or would benefit from, digital platforms, data, or research infrastructure
